1.  Arrange collection or delivery with us over the phone.

2.  Arrive for collection or delivery on agreed date.

3.  Bring documentation as detailed below.

4.  Sign hire agreement and damage report form agreeing to conditions of hire.

5.  Full deposit and payment for hire to be paid (deposits are listed on the price list).

6.  Number plate made up and fitted to trailer if required (£8.00 per number plate).

7. Demonstration on how to use the trailer – wheel lock, safety equipment, hooking and unhooking, manoeuvring etc.

8.  We will hook up and secure the trailer to your towing vehicle then you are ready to drive away.

9.  Return trailer at the agreed time, or telephone to arrange a new date if you need the trailer for a longer time (please give no less than 1 hours notice if you wish to extend the hire period).

10.  We will complete an inspection of the trailer on return and review the damage report form with you (see Terms & Conditions on the website for damage procedure).

11.  Your deposit will then be returned (the amount paid may be reduced if any damage has occurred during your possession of the trailer).

Documentation you’ll need to bring with you on collection
Please ensure you have the following documents with you when you come to collect the trailer:

Driving licence or passport
Current household bill with name of hirer
Registration document of towing vehicle
Deposit, cash or cheque (made payable to ‘Richmond Trailers’) – deposit will be returned upon safe return of trailer

Number plates   
We always like to ensure that our customers are safe and legal when hiring our trailers. Number plates for the trailer can be made, while you wait, to match the towing vehicle as long as you have the documentation detailed above with you. The cost is £8.00 per number plate.

Delivery and collection
If you are unable to come and collect the trailer in person we provide a delivery and collection service within a 15 mile radius of Stowting, nr Ashford, Kent. The charge for this service is £25. Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver outside of this area. Please give us a call to discuss this service.
